LUUK 2027 INFO COMING UP 01.09.26!

LUUK() is a dance conference with a focus on embodied practices and artistic research. We hold that all artistic processes entail various types of knowledge and also produce new ways of engaging, making and knowing. The conference’s aim is to offer a dialogic platform for (dance) artists, movement practitioners, educators, researchers and culture workers to gather and share their artistic work in the realm of dance, embodied practices and body-based approaches.

Moments from LUUK 2025 at the Copper Leg Residency.
The upcoming, 2027 edition of LUUK aims to develop into an international collaboration that explores embodied approaches to space across different European contexts - urban, landscape-based and public environments.

The project will create a joint framework for artistic experimentation and knowledge exchange through a series of Local Labs and artistic sharing activities - culminating in the conference in Estonia in June 2027.

LUUK 2025 reflection:

A big thank you to all the presenters, participants, organizers and supporters!

The first dance conference LUUK mapped what is currently happening in our shared and overlapping fields of physicality, movement and dance. We became more familiar with the current flows and certainly set some new waves in motion. 🌊

The LUUK team is digesting and resting and will certainly reflect on the dynamic picture of our landscape that has emerged in the coming months.

It was great to meet you!

LUUK will take place again in 2027, so see you next time - even brighter, deeper and in motion! 🌱

A big thank you again to our sponsors and supporters: TantsuRUUM, Cultural Endowment of Estonia, Zelluloos Papershop , Kohe Coffee , Ubala Röstikoda , YOOK Eesti , ETA (Estonian Dance Agency) and Karolin's parents🙏

And thank you Copperleg Art Residency for hosting!
